International Chinese Talent Singing Contest – European Division

Riding on the theme “Next Stop, Starlight Boulevard”, TVBS-Europe is to host the International Chinese Talent Singing Contest – European Division. This is the first time ever that the company organizes such event.
The contest hopes to offer a golden opportunity to the young talented singers to realize the dream. The title speaks for itself - “Nest Stop, Starlight Boulevard”. The winners will be flown to Hong Kong in September, to take part in the International Chinese Talent Singing Contest 2006.
Auditions will take place in the following five cities:
25-06-2006 London
26-06-2006 Manchester
02-07-2006 Paris
03-07-2006 Rotterdam
04-07-2006 Dusseldorf
Auditions are open to contestants from other countries. Further details on the auditions will be released at a later date.
Contestant Criteria:
1. Contestant is required to be over 18 and not older than 28, on or before 25 June 2006; and he or she is not bound by any contracts.
2. Contestant has to be of Chinese origin.
3. Contestant is required to sing in either Cantonese or Mandarin songs.
4. Individual participation/performance; groups are not allowed.
Methods of Participation
1. Contestant can pre-register for the Contest. Please fill in the form, and together with two photos, send it to the following address by 23 June 2006.

On the envelop, please state [International Chinese Talent Singing Contest 2006].
Fax application will not be accepted.
For those who have pre-registered, please show up at the selected venue on the particular date as indicated above. They will have priority in the audition.
3. Contestant can register on the day of the audition. Please bring in the application form and two recent photos, and hand them to the TVBS-Europe staff.
4. Contestant can bring along their own music (only CD is allowed). The venue only offers basic audio setup. Contestant is welcome to sing. (TVBS-Europe does not provide Karaoke music.)
5. There is a quota for application. Please be at the venue earlier.
